The Marshall Tucker Band
In the early fall of 1973 Marshall Tucker Band was still a young and hungry group out to prove themselves every time they hit the stage. “We were a bunch of young guys who didn’t know any boundaries” says founding member and longtime lead singer Doug Gray. As it turned out, the collective talents of the Marshall Tucker Band took them very far indeed.
Still led today by founding member and lead singer Doug Gray, they represent a time and place in music that will never be duplicated. Gray is quick to credit the band's current dynamic members with carrying on the timeless essence of the Marshall Tucker Band sound. Together they present a powerful stage presence as they continue to tour the country and continue to be powerful force in the world of music.
After 41 years, The Marshall Tucker Band continues to be played on
classic rock and country radio, and they have never stopped touring.
About Christine
In January 2013, after the discovery of a lump in her breast, Christine was diagnosed with metastatic (stage 4) breast cancer, a terminal diagnosis. The cancer had spread from her breast to her lymph nodes and bones. The next eight months for Christine focused exclusively on treatment; she endured surgery, dose dense chemotherapy and direct beam radiation for a cancerous lesion in her sternum. Even with advanced treatment the cancer has not disappeared, so she continues her battle against the disease.
Special Opening Act - Ruddy Well Band
A homegrown entity from Syracuse, New York, and two time Sammy Award winner for People’s Choice and Best Americana, the Ruddy Well Band has roots in Americana folk and rock with strong harmonies and high energy-driving rhythms. Although members of the band have played together in different forms since 2008, officially the Ruddy Well Band was created in 2011 with the release of their self-produced album, Little Blue Marble. Continuing to evolve, they produced their second album, Change of Course, with Subcat Studios in 2013.
